When I try to run "ipconfig" from the cmd prompt the ipconfig screen flashes up briefly and closes?
I then tryed to run it from windows/system32/ipconfig and the same thing happens both on the host and client machines?
Does shaw@home provide a static or dynamic ip address?
If they do provide a dynamic ip address I will then have to note the hosts ip address everytime I wish to remotely access it from the client right?
Thanks for your time. |

Chris,
Shaw provides a dynamic IP (but it does not change each time you restart your system, most often IP changes less than once per month). To get the information from ipconfig first do start->run->cmd (enter)
then you'll see a dos box at the prompt there c:\blah blah\> type in ipconfig (enter)
Hope this helps..
