Click the Start button then go to "Run" and type in "Regedit". Now follow this string HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SYSTEM -> CurrentControlSet -> Control -> SessionManager -> MemoryManagement -> PrefetchParameters

Once inside, find the Prefetch string and change the value from 3 to 5. Then reboot.

This tweak should speed boot up times by 5-10 seconds.

This tweak is from Colin Sun of pcstats.com all praise directed to him biggrin.gif

I tried this tweak and it certainly works even though my system booted up fairly quick anyways.
